Someway Still I Do
Alessandro Magnanini
Think of jazz from Italy, fall, of course names like Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi Giancarlo Schiaffini and Enrico Pieranunzi book. These names are considered the author of the Italian jazz, and indeed they were and are still heavily involved in the presentation, the development and dissemination of jazz in and out of Italy. But for several years, a number of other great talent makes attention.
A rising star on Schema Records - a composer Alessandro Magnanini, best known for his success with Mario Biondi ( "This Is What You Are") - finally released its long-awaited debut album! "Someway I Still Do" really opened a new chapter for Schema Records - the album is a bit of schema's old jazz and bossa-influenced mood, but with an even broader musical quality! The Italian guitarist and singer here is his longstanding passion for soul, rhythm `n blues and jazz expression. The record evokes the heyday of jazz.
Major talent from the contemporary Italian scene as vocalist Rosalia De Souza and Stefania Rava, trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso, and other instrumentalists on vibraphone, piano, tenor and trombone have collected many items for the album. Most of the instruments were recorded LIVE and are excellent! International stars like Liam MacKahey, frontman of the British band Cousteau, Jenny B & Renata Tosi are also present.
