2010 album from the Neo-Soul vocalist and the daughter of the great jazz singer Mary Stallings (and goddaughter to the legendary Pharoah Saunders), Adriana Evans debuted in 1997 alongside another newcomer in soul music, Erykah Badu. Blessed with a voice and style reminiscent of the late, great Minnie Ripperton, her first single, Reality, combined the vibes of Roy Ayers with hip hop realities to which her Loud label counterparts Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep and the Alkaholiks could easily relate.
