Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor

Caro Emerald

Caro Emerald is the new kid on the block, but boy does she sound like she's been around! A voice so seductive and sultry it's hard to believe she just recorded her debut album, a mix of 1950's inspired ballroom jazz, cinematic tangoes, groovin' jazz tracks, infectious mambo's and banging beats.

"Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor" entered its 26th week at #1 in the official GfK Dutch Charts, equalling the longest #1 position ever (Michael Jackson's Thriller).

During the summer of 2009, Caro Emerald scored a big hit in The Netherlands with her debut single "Back It Up". The catchy song just wouldn't leave radio. The huge succes of follow up "A Night Like This" proved Caro had more to offer than just one summer hit, and when Grandmono Records released her debut album, a star was born. "Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor" has been the #1 album for 17 weeks, breaking record after record.

Inspired by music and films from the ‘40's and ‘50s, Caro's producers have created a unique sound that fits her seductive voice perfectly. 50's ballroom jazz, cinematic tangoes and catchy mambo's, it sounds like you're listening to exotic 7" singles and Hollywood soundtracks, combined with catchy pop songs, hiphop and dance beats.
